Book Groups
Mostly Books has three book groups that meet in the shop once a month for
their book discussions. Members of these groups receive a 10% discount on
book group books purchased at the store. Members do need to supply their
own chairs though!
Read on for more details of these two book groups, or ask at the counter
for our book group notes, to help you set up a book group of your own. You
can also download the notes
here.
Mostly Literate: The Book Club for Younger Readers (Second Thursday Book Group)
In your mid teens to late twenties? Love reading? Want to discuss books with like-minded people? We
have a book club for you! Readers Anonymous is a rapidly growing community of young readers who meet
on the second Thursday of every month at 7:30pm at Mostly Books. Each month we read two books; one
relatively new and one not so new. Our booklist spans a range of genres, to satisfy and challenge a
variety of tastes.
If you are interested to join, please do not hesitate to contact Samuel or Brittany via
Mostly Books, then download our booklist, grab a book, and start reading! Check out our
Facebook Group
for more information.

Last Thursday Book Group - Co-ordinators Sue Robinson (8373 5776) and Sandy Barnes
The last Thursday book club is a group of avid readers who meet monthly (February - November)
to discuss one of the titles chosen at the November dinner. With 9 meetings there may be a vote
to select the final list, which usually consists of current fiction with the occasional
inclusion of a non-fiction or older title. Discussion is led by the nominator of the book for
that month and lively discussion ensues especially when there are divergent opinions about the
author or title. If this sounds like your cup of tea, contact the friendly staff at Mostly
Books or the co-ordinators about joining the group.
